How to protect an infinity pool? (Or best options?)

My infinity pool will be done the end of the month. So far, the only solution i've found that will both protect the trough and the actual pool, would be a fence that basically spans my entire lanai. From end to end, not exactly what i was going for when i spent so much on a luxury pool. But, i should of thought it through more. I'd be willing to spend the extra $$ if need be to protect my 9 month old. We live on a lake, so i think inevitably my only option is going to be a fence, which would be a double layered amount of protection of the lake and the pool.

Lets make sure I understand what you are asking:

You want to keep your child from being able to get to the pool from the house?

You also want to keep others from getting into your pool from the yard?

Here are some ideas for the house/child side:

Amazon.com : Sentry Safety DIY Pool Fence by EZ-Guard 4 Garden

I like them because they are removable.

You should also have alarms on the doors and windows.

I love black, metal fencing for fancy places like yours for the yard.
