How to get rid of lot of fine dirt in pool?

Hello all,

I have a pool that had a DE filter and I made the mistake of going to a sand filter that seems to not pickup well very fine particles. My pool this season has a lot of brown fine dirt in it that when I vacuum you can just see the dirt kick up. What should I do to get this stuff out of the pool other than the usual vacuum and running the filter to get all this fine stuff out from floating around? Thanks all

As @duraleigh will tell you, your sand filter will clean your water nearly as well as any other type of filter.
If there is dirt on the bottom of the pool, check your chemistry. Dead algae looks like dirt.
