How to divert heated water to water feature?

Hey all,

It's been a while since I've been on this forum because we sold our last house with a pool. We're planning to build one for the new house. In our old place, the heated water came out of one of the three waterfall features we had. A plumber that worked with a friend of ours did not know how (or did not want to) plumb heated water through a waterfall. Is this a difficult plumbing job? How is it done?

Thank you
Chris

Chris, I suspect the difficulty of that job would depend on how your existing plumbing is routed and the space available at the equipment pad. At your old place, either there was a 3-way valve after the heater or a dedicated line to that one specific waterfall. So you would probably need something along those same lines at the new place. What you would have to find out is how the return lines are ran back to the pool and any other water features so you know what you have to work with.

Chris,

Any plumber that normally does pools, should be able to configure your new pool to send heated water to a water feature with no problems at all.. The key would be to make sure the plumber knows ahead of time what it is you want and how you want it to work.

Thanks,

Jim R.
