how to dispose of half used chlorine tabs

Hi
Was out of liquid chlorine for a time and covered with tabs in the Rainbow.
Now have liquid supply so removed the partially dissolved tabs.

How do I dispose of partially used tabs? I hate to just use 'em up as they are so so acidic.
Let 'em dry out and put in a plastic bag for use later?
Take to hazardous waste?

You can save them for later use, just as you said, let them dry and put them in a container to contain the smell. They keep real well.
