How to disconnect the Polaris Quattro Sport hose connector

I’m leaking water from the hose connector into my Polaris Quattro Sport P40.
But I can’t get the hose connector to come off. I’ve turned it to the unlock position but it won’t release off the locking post.
Advise before I break it off and just buy a new connector?

I have found that YouTube has videos that are very instructional. You could try a search on YouTube for your particular brand and model and see if there any videos. Good luck.
