Like every pool owner, I have a jungle of pipes surrounding the pool equipment and it looks like Crud. I was going to put gravel around it but the grass/weeds will grow through. Even with a weed barrier the Florida "grass" and weeds will still come up around each pipe and I don't want to have to spray poison or weed whip around the equipment every week for the rest of my life. I would have to spray down tar or something like that under the gravel to stop the weeds - don't really want to do that though.
