How to clean rust spot from a hammer

Previous pool owner left a hammer (their grandkids did) on the bottom of the pool floor for the entire winter. It left a rust stain on the vinyl. Any idea how to remove it? Picture attached

Try wiping it with a vitamin C tablet.

It works on Iron, but I have never tried it on a stain left by steel. I would think it would work.

Some AA, Fruitfresh or VitC tabs should do it... if the stain is really bad (that looks really bad) there may be some residual stain that won't come out I would bet.

If the vitamin c tablet shows that it’s working, take a bunch of vitamin C tablets and put them in a wet sock. Then smash them all up into a powder with a hammer. I usually put the sock inside a plastic bag before I smash it all up. Then use the sock to run over the stain. This works really well when my steps get kind of yellowed.

I used vitamin c to remove stain on the steps and it worked. I’ll try it on the hammer stain and if it works, will post pics here
