New owner first closing with cover on.

How much is to much and when should it be removed?
Worried about going away and having as much if not more on cover for a couple of weeks.

Some additional info, The pump works great, but I may need to add another pump. There are a couple of areas that hold water and the pump must be moved. When we are away we have someone move the pump, but they sometimes can't do it for a couple of weeks.

So is it an issue if the cover holds the amount of water or more shown in the pic's for a couple of weeks?

I have seen some pics of pool with covers completely covered with snow, but not large amounts of water. Water is much heavier than snow and it is not evenly distributed.

Your cover can hold a lot of water or snow on top. It will sag down and may rest on the pool water as long as the pool water was not drained too low.

You do not need multiple pumps. Just clear the water when you can.
