Hi
Our dig is finally scheduled to start this week after almost a year of planning and waiting ! I have been trying to make a few remaining upgrade/budget decisions and I am stuck when it comes to if I need one or two pool lights. My pool contractor says I am on the border of where they do two lights, the pool will be 35 feet long. One Color Logic LED 500 watt is included in my current contract , to add a second is an additional $950.00. Is adding the second light something I should or need to do ?

There are also a few other upgrades I am still looking at that I could also use some feedback on:
1. Adding Touch of Glass or Puerto Rico to Stonescapes Aqua White, I love the look. Is it worth the expense and which will give me the most effect , the Touch of Glass or Puerto Rico mix?.
2. Glass tile at the water line ( I really love this but also understand it can be a pain, not a big fan of the bigger square ceramic tiles, interested to learn how much of an issue glass waterline tile is and if it should be avoided?

I would be grateful for any insight on my remaining issues. I have attached the rendering of the pool design and placement.

If you have a deep end I'd go with two lights.
I also would say two lights. Not to be a pestimist....I hope that you have better luck with your Colorlogic than we have. Also, the price to replace them are very expensive. Although, everything is expensive these days. I just had a meeting with a professional aquatic interior instructor this past Wednesday. This was the exact words that was said to me regarding types of interior "A pool owner can make any type of interior last as long as the pool is mantained the correct way.".

Thanks for the feedback , great advice on the interior. Fingers crossed on the color logic !

Agreed with the 2 lights. I only have experience with vinyl pools, so will defer the tile questions elsewhere. Love the design/layout, looks awesome!

It is not a problem if properly applied.

Here is the recommended buildup by a glass tile supplier.

A waterproof coating like Basecrete should be used. Otherwise you can end up with problems like this...
