Synopsi’s of the last two weeks:
- All year long pol went from clear to green to clear within two weeks
- Pool Cleaner claimed filter broken
- Checked Filter and replaced Sand
- Replaced gasket in multiport valve, but used pool lube instead of glue to set the gasket
- Fired Pool Company
- Got Test Kit
- Water tested for CYA of 100+, FC of 0
- Drained 2/3 of pool and refill
- Added 2 Gal of 12.5% Bleach
- FC measured at 22, CYA at 60, CC 1
- 4 hours later FC 22, CC 0.5
- 22 hours later FC 15, CC 0
- TA is 130, hence I am doing the dance of lowering PH, letting it go up and then lowering it again
- Opened up Multiport valve, cleaned it, dried it, glued in gasket, put back together, let it sit for 24 hours before running pump
- Over days FC came down to 8
- Adding daily 40oz bleach, end of next day FC is back to 8
I have fine “dust” that eventually settles at the bottom and stairs, you come near it/ step on it it floats away in a big cloud.
When I run my pool cleaner the pool turns cloudy from all the “dust” getting moved around.
Question, that fine dust is that going to filter out eventually, it just takes longer due to the pool size?
Should I run the pool robot daily to help With it?
Should i let it settle and use a manual vacuum on it?
How do I know the valve works right and the vacuum water is not by-passing the filter as before?
