El DORADO HILLS
Hi everyone, I am searching for a leak, around 1/4~1/3 Inch per day thru a bucket test.
My pool is 20YO, 17000 Gallon, Plaster finish, in ground, and my home is located in NorthCal Sacramento area and up on a small hills. so there shouldn't be water bed underneath.
Trying to wait till leak stop, or worst case, never stop :(, but would like to have some idea how long i can wait and whether that will damage the pool shell.
Thank you very much !

You really don’t want the plaster to dry out. A couple days in mild low uv weather is ok but that’s about it.
Try to isolate what part of the system is leaking- plumbing or shell.
Since you have already determined via the bucket test that you have a leak follow these steps to help narrow down what might be leaking

The National Plasterer's Council recommends no longer than 8 - 10 days. After that the plaster can start to shrink, de-laminate, blister, fall off.
