How long do you run your filter

Hi all,

New pool owner here. Just finished my 30k IG plaster pool with a DE filter. See signature for details. My question is how long per day do I run my filter? I have full sun exposure in NJ.

Nice to meet you via TFP and congrats on the new pool!

You can start a bit high, then dial it down based on how clean you like it, e.g. skimming through the hours you like the pool to look it's best. Mine is smaller/easier than yours and 8 or 9 hours a day on low (1.2 HP pump) keeps it looking pretty
