How to pick CYA level?

Hey all - I'm trying to figure out how to make the correct decision what my target CYA should be.

North Texas
30k gallon pool
Concrete/Plaster
In ground
Liquid Chlorine
Incredible amount of sun (full sun from 7am to 6pm zero shade)

I've seen other users in similar scenarios (texas, extremely hot summers with zero shade) run their CYA on the higher end of the recommended scales. But is there some kind of test or methodology I can work through that determines what the right CYA level is for my specific pool?
