How long before final water color is achieved?

Just installed new pool and am thinking the PB might have used the wrong shade of grey. I chose a darker bluish water color which I was told was light grey. Pool has been built and is now about 12 days old and water is a little lighter and greener than I was hoping. Can anyone tell me how long It takes to achieve the final water color. The pool still looks great just really nitpicking at this point. The color I chose is attached as well. It is a buddy's pool from the same builder. I requested the same color. I looked at the fresh plaster on both as well and his was noticeably darker by a few shades.

Need your water readings. Preferably from your own test kit. Green could be algae in the water or depending on your area new water could have a slight green tint.
A properly maintained pool water will be clear to light blue depending on depth.

I know when I refilled some partial drains to fix an over cya issue, the city water looked green.
But it turned blue within 48 hours.

Are you on well water by chance? Could be iron. maybe.

Let me clarify the water is crystal clear the color just seems a little less blue than it should have been, maybe green is the wrong terminology. The salt has not been added will that influence color? I'm really asking about what affects curing plaster will have only final color. my water readings have been fine I'm just asking about the appearance of the watercolor from the plaster not the actual watercolor.

lsu5508, here's some specifics about what's in our tap water (no wells down here, borjis -- our municipal water supply comes straight from the Mississippi River).

As you've noticed, our water comes out quite clear. When I filled my pool, I didn't notice any off-color at all ... not even a hint of the faintest blue. The finished color of your plaster should come through faithfully.

Plaster shouldn't change. What could affect the color is water clarity/color and daylight. A bright sunny day will give you a warmer kelvin than a cloudy day.
My pebbletec pool can get a more greenish color cast depending on the daylight due to the color of the pebbletec.

It will take a couple months of correct chemistry (mainly a slightly negative CSI) and curing of the plaster for the true color to be realized. Just like tile, the particles that provide the color to the plaster will be hazed from the troweling process - as this haze is dissolved the color will come out. Our pool was plastered in late April and continues to still "darken".

Years of bad chemistry (mainly high CSI) will cause your color to fade.

Thanks everyone. i'll wait a little bit longer to determine if the right pllaster color was used. Hopefully the continued darkening of the plaster during curing will give me a little more blue.
Hey, did your color darken at all in the past two months? I am worrying about a similar issue and wonder how it is going for you.
