Hey everyone,
I just upgraded my pool math app so I can finally log my results, and my csi is a little too low (-0.77).
a little background, I had the pool resurfaced and filled on October 5th of this year. I test using the Taylor k2006 test kit. I live in Palm Springs California and we have hard water here. We used all glass tile when we remodeled the pool (waterline and spa face), and one of our main goals is to avoid as much calcium deposits on the tile as possible. Our previous tile had a lot of calcium scaling on them that was impossible to get off. Here are my results from today (not sure how to share pool math stats yet, I’ll figure it out!)
FC: 3
CC: 0
PH: 7.2
CYA: 30
TA: 70
CH: 270
Temp: 54 degrees.
I know the pH is on the low side, but won’t that help control the scaling? Calcium is low too but I know it will come up eventually with our water source. So with these numbers, should I worry about csi? I played with the numbers a bit and it looks like if I raise pH and CH I can get my CSI to a more acceptable range, but I’m worried about doing that.
Thanks for your help!
