New pool owner here and question about what I think is mustard algae.
so long story short, when we opened our pool this spring, due to the large of amount of rain and leaves on top of the pool cover whenever we took off the cover the entire pool was a dirty brown cloudy mess. After turning on our pool pump and filter and balancing out all the chemicals or water is now crystal clear, however we are still having a problem with this brown lightweight sediment at the bottom of the pool. I have tried triple shocking the pool and vacuuming to waste. I have also tried raising the FAC level to 5 -10 ppm while using yellowtrine. After doing both of these things and brushing the pool I come back the next morning and the brown spots are back on the bottom of the pool. Nothing on the walls just scattered across the bottom of the pool. When I take the brush about 4 inches from the brown spots and I shake the brush without even touching the brown spots they poof into a light brown cloud. Does anybody have any idea what this could be?
