The border of my 1994 highlife hot tub seems to be growing mold as the trim is tearing away from the actual spa. How do I correct this. Can I remove this is there a replacement available?
It is tiles grouted with caulk of some kind. I pull off whatever will come off, clean the surfaces, and reinstall with silicone caulk. A caulk tool set helps.
I ended up removing all the tile, it was pretty gross underneath about half of it. Now I need to get the residue off or install a new border. Any suggestions!
Putty knife (if you're careful), magic eraser, green scrubby, non-scratch surface cleaner. Avoid any solvent, thinner, denatured alcohol, etc. That shell is not acrylic and I wouldn't risk harsh chemicals.
If you are putting the original or new tile in it doesn't have to be perfect, just clean of whatever is loose and any dirt or buildup.
