Started working on my lights last night and am ready to hook them to the ET panel but the directions are written poorly. From googling this is what I have pieced together.
Coming in from the light junction box White/Black/Green/ #8 Bonding Green
White goes to the earth ground bar
Black goes to the #2 post on the relay
Green goes to earth ground
#8 Bonding green goes to earth ground
Black from the breaker goes to the #1 post on the relay.

Does this sound correct?

Jeff,

Could be just terminology, but the things your are saying are not all correct...

Tell us more and we can get you pointed in the right direction..

What lights do you have? Are they 120 volt or 12 volt lights?

Are you wiring the ET directly to the light or to a transformer to run the lights?

Where do you plan to get the AC (120 volts) to run the lights?

Thanks,

Jim R.

They are 120v lights 2 (IntelliBrite 5g Color LED Pool Light 601002) wiring directly to the ET and getting power from a dedicated 20A GFI breaker in the ET.

Jeff,

Note.. Instructions corrected to say what I meant to say, not what I actually said.. Sigh!!!

If you have 120 volts lights what are you going to use the step down transformer for?

The black wire from the light goes the #2 screw (Line out) on the relay.
The White wire from the light goes to the neutral connection on the GFCI breaker
The pigtail on the GFCI breaker goes to the neutral bus bar.
The Green ground wire goes to the ground bus bar in the ET.
The 120 volts from the GFCI breaker goes to screw #1 (Line input) on the relay.

Closing the relay, turns on the light...

Thanks,

Jim R.

Jeff,

If you have 120 volts lights what are you going to use the step down transformer for?

The black wire from the light goes the #2 screw (Line out) on the relay.
The White wire from the light goes to the white wire (Pigtail) from the GFCI breaker
The Green ground wire goes to the ground bus bar in the ET.
The 120 volts from the GFCI breaker goes to screw #1 (Line input) on the relay.

Closing the relay, turns on the light...

Let's see if Allen can double check this info... @ajw22

Thanks,

Jim R.
The pigtail wire goes to the neutral bus bar. The white wire from the light goes to the neutral screw terminal on the breaker

I did not know that what the white dot was for and we have power. I set the light for Aux 1 but it only turns off and on by the breaker.

Are you sure the Aux 1 relay is actually plugged into the Aux 1 connector on the back of the main board?

The only way the light can come on is for the relay to be energized or the relay to be bad (which I doubt)...
