Why buy when you can build one at twice the price.
Im a long time member . I cut the pool store cord after my first season as a new pool owner. This group has always been helpful to me and i appreciate all of you. I made this after having my calcium hardness tested about a month ago at the pool store. See some of my chems were out of date and CH test always showed 0ppm when i tested CH so i brought a sample to the store. 350 was their reading. so i ordered new bottles of 0010, 0011, and 0012. My reading is now 275. I was curious in which reagent was spoiled so i ran a few tests using the new with one of the old. The culprit was 0011. The sample tested would not turn blue (remained clear) after adding the buffer (0010). Where was I? Oh the pool store rep added drops of the same Taylor reagents we all use here but he had this cool spinner. I looked at it and said "I think i could make that." Believe it or not but Im a bit of a pac rat. I hold on to just about everything so this cost me nothing but the penny i used as the button.

I have a drawer full of microcontrollers, various sensors, relays, steppers, transceivers, etc. in my workbench. In addition to the stuff in big plastic organizers. And plastic bins. Yeah, I feel ya' :)

What did you use for the stir bean?
