High total alkalinity

Good morning. After testing this morning (newbie trying to dial in a new pool) my numbers where...

CC-.4
Ph-8
TA-100
CYA-50
If I’m thinking correctly bringing my Ph down will reduce my alkalinity as well? I would like to add that this chemical regiment is a placeholder until we fire up the SWG, likely next weekend. Thanks!

you are correct. drop ph to low 7's
eventually ta wil drop and ph will stop rising

I should add that our TA was great until I added borax to bring up Ph from 6.4.

That would make sense since Borax raises the PH and also raises the level just a little.
