You're welcome! I'd also suspect the volute o-ring also. If by chance it's is flat or squared off on the edges/sides. You should replace it with a new, round one.
Thanks, again, DB. I think a new o ring is in order (I guess what you call a volute o ring is what I will be looking for- its about a foot across or so). Tomorrow, its back to the pool store!! Have a good night, DB.
