High PH before closing

I'm getting ready to add polyquat to my pool and just discovered that my PH is high. It looks like it is between 7.8 or 8.0. TA is 90. I shocked it a few days ago but I thought it would have gone down by now since FC is down to 9. Do I need to lower it before adding the polyquat or will the polyquat lower the PH since it lowers the chlorine when it is added?

I say no, most rain is somewhat acidic anyways.

Adding Polyquat will not change your p[H.

I would lower your pH to between 7.6-7.8 with MA.

YOUR rain may not be slightly acidic. Go to 7.5 or so.
