High PH and TA

I finally got my new liner installed 2 weeks ago. Since then my PH is staying high and having to add acid every day to try and bring it down and Total Alkalinity is high as well.
I was going to raise my CYA to 40. In ground vinyl liner, 16,000 gals.
Here are my test #'s
PH - 8+
FC - 6
TA - 250
CH - 220
CYA - 30

Do I need to keep adding acid to lower the TA to help lower the PH?

Yes. TA will slowly come down and PH should rise somewhat slower as TA lowers.
