High calcium?

Been having an issue with high calcium all summer. It’s been at 500 and does go down every once in a while. Have drained some twice with little help. Tried a few different chemicals too.

Any other ideas ?

500 CH is at the high end of the recommended range but not too high to be managed.

How are you managing your water chemistry? What test kit do you have?

Plaster pool? Vinyl? Fiberglass? - please put in your signature. It makes a difference, especially for CH levels.

For water chemistry recommendations we need test results from one of our recommended test kits - the TF-100 Test Kits or Taylor K-2006C. We find pool store tests are too often too inaccurate.

Have drained some twice with little help.

When you get a dependable kit, (I wouldn't trust the pool store for this) test the CH of your fill water.

I think you can make a difference with a partial drain and refill if you decide to.
