High Alkalinity? Concern?

Hi,

My alkalinity has been hovering on the high side (120-130) since I opened my pool 2 months ago. Just ran another test and came back with 170. Here's the results:

FC 13
CC 0
PH 7.8
TA 170
CYA 80
CH 150
Salt 2800

I have a SWCG set to around 50 percent right now and run my filter 12 hours a day roughly.

Any concerns with high alkalinity and border line high PH? Should I add some acid to bring down the PH?

Type of pool? Can you fill out your signature?

Watch for calcium scale flakes coming from the SWCG. If you see those, then it would be time to lower TA some. Otherwise, depending on your pool type, there should be no issue.

Ah sorry just filled it in... It's a small above ground pool 12x18 vinyl.
