I need advice PLEASE!!! I want to build an in ground pool but it’s so expensive. I’ve watched hours and hours of DIY videos and want to know if cinder block pools will hold up. I’m looking at a pool that would be 12ft by 20ft with the shallow end being 3.5 ft and the deep 6ft. I do NOT want to put in a vinyle liner. I would rather seal the cinder blocks and put a thick coat of cement throughout the pool and then seal that. I wonder if the cinder blocks will hold that size of pool. I would use rebar through the cinder blocks and fill them with cement as well. I’m afraid of the pool settling from the weight of the water and the cinder blocks cracking. Does anyone have any suggestions for me. I love doing things myself and I can figure anything out... I just don’t want to make a mistake with this amount of water next to my house lol

Have you tried the search box up in the blue band?? I know there have been a few threads over the years about cinder block pools. It might be easier to find answers there than wait for someone who knows to answer.
