We had big storms here yesterday so i turned off my pump as i figured the water lever would be up over skimmer, wasnt disappointed.

I was disappointed when i pumped water out this morning then turned it back on and it has a whine going on now. Its a bit away from our house, kinda sounds like crikets out there. Its not real far away from neighbors though.

Wondering what i many need to do. I emptied the filter, and took the lid off the thing where water comes into the rfilter, took the basket out and cleanded, felt around in there with it unplugged and dont feel anything.

Any thoughts? its only about 3 years old i think

Can you tell us what pump you have? Adding some detail to your signature really helps.

A high pitch whine/squeal can be bearings. Are there any leaks around the pump/motor interface?

its a Hayward Power Flo Matrix (added to signature). I'm still running it 8 hours a day. No leaks
