Help!
My pool contractor abandoned the project after excavation. He never pulled a permit either, I was forced to pull the owner build permit myself or pay a fine for having a big hole in my backyard. Since I have that permit, idk where to start. The excavation is messed up cause of the rain so it’ll need to be fixed I think..
He started doing it in November and was supposed to finish April. He abandoned it, I tried to file a complaint with his bond, but he was out of bond money. 3 other people already filed. I am out 47k. He did structural damage that I just had to pay 10k to fix as well.
I’m a single mother still in school for nursing, I gave him almost all of my savings to build this. So I am now in the process of trying to sue him, working with the contractors board.
I do want to get started on finishing my pool. But where do I start? What contractor do I need to hire first? I want to at least get the gunite in, it looks like the hole he dug is slowly falling apart.
