Help with electrical setup

I had the pool guys install the new pump and the SWG system but they won't mess with electrics and I have no clue what to ask for.

Currently, the pump is connected to the old switch and the mechanical timer.

Pump: Intelliflo3 with relay board kit
SWG: IC60 & power center

What's the ideal setup given the system that I have? What should I tell the electrician to do?

You have quite a few options if you ever want to add automation. Absent that I'd ask him to wire the pump directly up to a breaker. Variable speed pumps have a built in timer so they don't need a mechanical timer. You can also set it up such that the swg will use a digital input to turn the pump to the required speed when it runs.

The cheapest and simplest thing to do is this...

1. Move the pump wiring over to the line side of the timer. This will provide constant AC to the pump.
2. Wire the SWCG's Power Center to the relay card inside the IntelliFlo3. The idea being that the IntelliFlo3 can be set to close the relay only when the pump is running.

Thank you. This helps a lot. Let me check if I understood correctly.

1. When you say move the wire over to the line side of the timer, we are bypassing the timer to provide constant AC, correct?
2. I don't need the mechanical timer for the pump or the SWG.
3. Is there a special connector to wire the power center to the relay card?

3. I have never seen an IntelliFlo3 in person, but there is no special connector.. It appears to me that you can just run jumpers from the AC input to the pump, over to the relay card...
