Help with Actuator (Pentair CVA-24) - Waterfall Feature

Hello - I have a waterfall feature in my pool and when I either click the Waterfall feature button on my EasyTouch 8 or my ScreenLogic, the pump fires up, the Pentair CVA-24 actuator switches the Jandy Valve to divert water to the waterfall, and water starts flowing out of the waterfall. It has been working great for the past 2 years. Just this week, when I have pressed the Waterfall feature button, the pump fires up... but the actuator no longer switches the valve to divert water to the waterfall. I have been able to use the motorized switch on the side of the actuator to adjust the valve open and closed (using the "UP" and "DOWN" positions) and that gets the waterfall going when I need it. While I'm happy to see the motor in the CVA-24 is operable, I really want to be able to click the Waterfall button again and turn the waterfall on/off wherever I am. Any thoughts on what might be causing the disconnect between the EasyTouch 8 and the Pentair CVA-24 actuator? Thanks!

Jimmy,

The actuator is bad.. Most likely one of the micro switches inside is no longer working. Several threads here about replacing them. Or you could just replace the entire actuator.

Make sure the following set up page shows the waterfall is still linked to valve A or B..

Thanks,

Jim R.

Jim - you nailed it! Valve A and Valve B were both assigned to "[UNUSED]", so I set Valve A to Waterfall and BAM, it worked! No parts to replace, just a simple configuration change. Thanks so much!
