Hello can everyone tell from the bottom of your coping to the spa wall how many inches for you have? I think mine is wrong and too low.
Hopefully I explained that right if you have pics of your please post :)

Welcome to TFP.

There is no standard for how high a spa should be raised from the pool. It all depends on your design.

It can vary from almost flush with the water to over 3 feet above.

What did your design specify?

What did you expect?

Cutie,

Your spa will be about level with your pool... Sounds like you were expecting a "raised" spa and that is not what you have..

Have any drawings from the builder that you should have gotten with your bid???

Keep in mind that you will still have tile or something that is not installed yet.. The pool water should not enter the spa in the spa mode...

Thanks,

Jim R.

The way it is being constructed in order not to have the pool water entering the spa you will be running the water level lower than in the middle of the tile line. The spillway tile will add some elevation to the water line of the spa and you will need to run the pool water lower than that. The skimmer mouth looks to be low enough to handle the lower water level.

How many inches down is yours from coping to top of tile can you take a pic with a measuring tape pretty please:)

What is the block sitting on the wall between the spa and pool? See red circle in the pic. I can't tell if that is just a drop from the coping but it kind of looks like it is sized to be there.

If this is what is being installed on the wall, that is much thicker than regular tile, and would push the water line up higher than Aqua-holics sketch indicated.
