They are installing the tile at the moment, we told him he used the wrong measurements and he said he’ll fix it with the plaster. Is that possible? Making the pool a whole foot shallower with plaster????
We are going to plaster in a few weeks and my wife is saying the depth is too deep based on where it stands with the shotcrete shell. How many additional inches/height (if any) will be added to the shotcrete shell when they plaster and how thick can they go (how many inches in height) before...
3” is the most I have seen of plaster thickness and only in the radius where the walls meet the floor. 3/4” to 1” is standard thickness.
To make up for 12” of over excavation Shotcrete is the most common solution. With that 9” is the most depth you want to add in Shotcrete before adding more rebar.
