Help optimizing return jet directions for water flow

Not sure if this is a THING here but maybe It is!!! I don’t think I am optimizing the direction of my return jets to get debris into the skimmers and also to optimize water flow. To be honest, there’s no rhyme or reason to them right now, so I have attached a photo that has markings of my seven return jets and two skimmers. Can anyone that’s much smarter than me tell me which direction and up or down left right each return jet needs to go in order to optimize my pool?

Annotate the picture with prevailing wind direction. (Where does the wind come from most of the time?

I think you are asking two questions.
How do I optimize my flow and
How do I optimize skimming.

Returns will have little effect on skimming. Prevailing winds will over power most flow.

Yes I suppose those are my questions!

Winds will mainly come from south west in the top left of the photo and I Noted.

Ping Pong Balls!! Throw some in and watch what happens.

For right now I would have all of the returns pointed in such a way to make the water move counter clock wise. Try to have them all set at the same angle. Then watch the balls. Adjust the returns if you don't like what you are seeing. This will take some trial and error.

Thanks. In general, should i have the jets facing down to go deeper or up to agitate the water a bit?

No need to agitate the water. If you have e a main drain valve keep it open 10-15% that'll give movement to the bottom.

I have my main drain valve and both skimmer valves open 100%. Sounds like this is wrong?

It's not about right or wrong but rather an effective way to filtering pool water. By balancing the 2 skimmers so they have equal turbulence as one is closer to the pad and has a shorter run and that's if you have a separate valve for each skimmer and then you keep the main drain valve 10-15% open, will give you good skimming of the water surface and also a little bit suction through the drain.

Start with them going middle of wall and go from there. I would not have them pointed so they roll the water.
