We have had Envoy Grandee hot springs salt water hot tub since 2015. The chemical cost are crazy. How do we subsitute like we do for pool. Been using Mineral springs. Also have never been able to get FC to stat or register long. Just completely flushed system and drained. How do I decontaminate?

The Mineral Springs SWG system is just pool salt mixed with borates and CYA.
You can replace bags of Beginnings with normal pool salt. I like Mortons Pool Salt that I get from Walmart. I don’t recommend you use Clorox Pool Salt.
You can stop adding Renewal. Just add Pool Salt when your salt level gets low.
Check your CYA with your own test kit and add it when needed.
Over time you will lose the Borates and the silky feel of the water. You can check your borate level and add it separately.

Those are called guesstrips and are not reliable. Buy a real test kit as Marty suggested above.
