Help, I think the pool store gave me bad advice about cloudy pool

That pic looks awesome! SO glad you got the test in AND did it! SWEET!

This will show you how high your FC should be with your CYA level.

I also want to show this to you. It will help you know how well your bleach is working. It is a VERY useful test for all of us.

Here is another link to show you what your pool needs.

Based on your numbers you aren't going to need the baking soda, so you can take it back unless you need it for something else around the house. You also won't need the borax unless you want to add borates to the pool. Baking soda adds TA. Borax raises your ph. That's why Trouble Free Pool Care has replaced the BBB name. That way people don't buy extra things they may never have to use. Welcome to the site. You are on your way to a beautiful pool.

Results from OCLT test was 1ppm.
Still just slightly cloudy, but seems to be getting better so at this point we just keep testing and adding bleach as needed to maintain.

That really points to the fact that your are well on your way to a SUPER clear pool!

Now is when pics will help you see the progress each day. It might be slight and without the pics you will think you are stalled.

The borax was only a small box so we can use it for other things around the house. Same with the baking soda. I'm just glad I found this site. Everything the pool store said, made things worse. Everything you all suggested has made things better. I'm sold on the system.
