I really appreciate any help anyone can offer with our pool. It is a 30,000 gallon in-ground pool with a DE filter. We also have a small filter bowl for a ray-vac. Normally when you turn the pump on (it's a Challenger pump), it all kicks in and starts cycling the water within a minute or so. Now the pump runs and the pressure gauge bounces around like it wants to start, and water trys to cycle in the little basket, but it takes like 20 min. to actually start running. We just opened the pool this past Friday. TodayI was watching the pressue gauge while everything was up and running and the gauge would randomly bottom out at zero and then jump back up to where it was before. I have no idea what's going on? The only other thing I noticed that I don't ever remember happening before is when we turn the pump on and it is strugging to get going, air bubbles come out of the hole in the pool where we hook the rayvac hose (it's not attached yet). I feel like I've checked and rechecked things a million times. If anyone can help I would be ever so grateful! Thank you!
