My pool is probably about 25 years old or older. I lightly stepped on the drain cap and it broke off. Is this something I can fix without scuba gear? See attached pix.

The ring that is left at the bottom of the pool is held on with two screws.
Remove the screws and bring the ring up and then you can measure for a replacement main drain cover.
