Hi everyone,
Thanks to the kind folk here at TFP, I have been learning how to take care of the pool at the house we just bought. It was green with algae when we bought it, and I was able to SLAM it and get it in good shape for the last few weeks. However, we recently went out of town, and when we came back, I noticed that we had a small leak by the pool pump.
The leak appears to be a dribble of water that continuously leaks out of a pipe on top of the pool pump. It has also resulted in my pump lowering to about 6 psi, when it typically runs at about 10-11 psi.
Does anyone know if this is an easy thing to fix or not? I am not particularly handy, but would rather fix it myself if possible. If not, I can also hire a pool company, but right now I'm just trying to figure out what I'm dealing with.
The video I took is too large to upload, but I've attached a picture showing where the leak is in a red rectangle. I can also provide the model name and number of the pool pump, if that would be helpful. Otherwise, any help would be really appreciated.
