Greetings everyone, I'm a first-time pool owner trying to figure it all out here in Arizona. So far, I've been using Leslie's with mixed feelings. I finally came here today after being told that my nitrate level was to the point that the pool has to be drained. I did have a pool guy, but having proven himself to be completely unreliable, I decided to take care of business myself. So, here I am. Right now, my water is crystal clear, but being told that I have zero chlorine (due to nitrates). I'm about to research and order my own test kit, and spend some quality time on this site to determine the next course of action. Welcome! Lots of us use the TF100. Excellent kit. Grab the Speedstir also if it's doable for you. At first it all seems kinda overwhelming (it did for me at least) but you will be a pro in no time. Can you post your pool specs and equipment in your signature line? It helps the pros around here to best help you.
