I have been reading around on the forum for a while now and figured it was time to introduce myself:
I'm Jake, and I bought my first house in Phoenix, AZ with a pool (sort of) about a year ago. The reason I say "sort of" is because I'm not sure if you could really call it a pool when I bought the house - It was more of a crumbling apart big hole in the ground that had been empty for over 20 years. Here are a few pictures of where it started, the process, and what it looks like today:
Of course, a full remodel, all new equipment, and a lot of plumbing work were needed, but now I pretty much have a brand new pool! Granted, given where I started, some random problems pop up every now and then, and I have a few projects I am looking to do soon (some re-plumbing of the pool equipment, addition of a SWG, and a new heater for the spa), but I am already so grateful for what I have learned on TFP, and I'll be posting around on the forums about my upcoming projects soon!
