I have had above ground pools most of my life. I now have my first in ground pool. It is a Thursday Pools 16x39 Sandal Beach Entry. It started with just a puck chlorine adder. The first thing I did was make and add a temporary waterfall. I want a Rico Rock Tennessee Ledger with Stream, but that was $7K the last time I checked, so it has to wait. I added an Easytouch control panel and have it controlling the pump. I then added an IC40 and it is working fine. Now I'm struggling to add the valve actuators. Pentair programming must be run by 3 yr olds .... I have been using Aquachek 7 test strips and gotten good consistent results in the past but will be changing over to one of the recommended kits very soon. One step at a time.20210730_163602.jpg

The Pentair Intellivalve Valve Actuator 521485 is much easier to set.
Though after the valve is set up the first time it is seldom changed, but in my case using freeze protection I reset them to allow flow to the bubblers and through the heater.

Right after I wrote my intro I went out and easily finished the valve setup. I rechecked everything that I thought I needed to do and set up a schedule to run the waterfall for 2 minutes and shut off. When the time came to start, I heard the motor pick up and the valve should have opened so I threw the switch on the actuator to open the valve, it opened and then closed on its own when time was up. Nowhere did I see which position to set the switch or to throw it like I did if it was not working. All good now!:)
