I’ve been using this site to clean up a pool stored to death above ground and upgrade my testing kit. My wife thinks I’m obsessed, but as an orchestra teacher I told her I’m just learning science to help my students in life!

How clear should my water be? A very common question. Here is mine on a calm morning where I could finally vacuum. Yes I know, I'm still manually vacuuming. It took me 7 years to finally get an SWG, I'm working on a robot. :) So now let's see your water clarity.

The pool has gone from a really icky green to this so far. Finally got ph down to something other than 8 and waiting on this tropical storm to see what happens with rain to see if I need to fix CYA (it was 60 down from about 300). Almost clear! Kids have enjoyed it. Searching through your advice has been awesome! Now I have to actually do my real job instead of an interesting distraction...

You're getting there! We're watching the weather reports here as well. If we do get hit, this is the time to lower the water a bit in advance and let the storm fill it back up for free without CH and CYA. That is IF the weather reports are correct. You know how those can be though.

Have you pulled out your ladder yet? If not, clean that thing inside and out as it can be an algae nest.
P.S. In Jr. High I went from third chair clarinet to first chair alto sax by simply finding the correct tool.

I’ve tried to clean the ladder, but it won’t hurt to go over it again. Once the children all leave the house, I’ll have more time on my hands.

I played clarinet too, but a guy in college told me I wasn’t very good so I switched to double bass. Now I make money!

Weather is where you can be wrong more than right and keep your job I feel.

Got my pool pretty clear by this SLAM. Could see dirt and squares. Time to keep plugging to the finish line. This is much easier!
