I've been lurking in the deep end reading and learning from all of
you for most of last year. The knowledge base here is remarkable.
The advice, invaluable.

What I had: 10 years worth of TriChlor addiction resulting in high
CYA levels. A battle with algae that never ceased. And powdered
shock that generously fed my CYA beasty. The gents at my local
pool store loved me.

I found TFP and it all changed.

What I have now: A CYA level of 60 after two 3/4 pool drain/refills.
It will be lowered a bit more during the winter (we don't close
our inground here in TX). Removed Nature2 system! Switched to
BBB Method. Simple, less $$$, happier pool. Happier me.

My pool looks great. The chems stay really stable. A little Muriatic
Acid, a little baking soda and a close eye on chlorine (getting a better
feel for usage as I go along). Rarely need Borax but it's in my arsenal.

Next step is to add Borates to 30-50ppm.

Cannot express how much I appreciate all that is shared here.

Thank you.

I love what you've learned. Please consider if you are able to donate to say 'thanks' in a additional way! Pooldv's signature above has the link to Become a TFP Supporter.
