Heavy winds and winter cover

We are getting some heavy winds today and it is really getting under my winter cover and blowing it around. There was a little bit of water accumulated on top from rain, and the wind has blown it to one side and it’s trying to pull the cover off on one side. I’m currently siphoning the rain water out. What else can I do to secure it he cover?

Not at the moment, but wouldn’t that just become a projectile?

I don't know how high your winds are.

If you are worried about that, figure out how to strap them down.

Basically, you need some solid things strapped down on top of your cover.

Maybe a few water bags.

Can you remove some of the air from below the cover?

How thick are the top rails?
Are they rounded on the outward facing side?

You need MORE water on the cover, not less. That's what keeps it secure. The cover should be touching the actual pool water, and the water on top keeps it from blowing.

Just standard overhang. Sorry was going to post a pic but having issues attaching it. Trying to get size

That’s what I thought, but the wind is pushing all of the water to one side and the pressure is pulling the cover up.

They are outwards facing

That’s what I thought, but the wind is pushing all of the water to one side and the pressure is pulling the cover up.

Waterbags can be laid on the cover and they will not move around.
