Heavy scale/corroding plaster finish

30k gallon plaster pool hasn't been resurfaced in 30 years and I can't clear up the cloudiness. I changed the sand, I've tried clarifiers, I've tried fiber clear filter aide, I've used the pink stuff jacks magic had for plaster dust. Any ideas? Also any validity to the theory that stabilizer settles into the plaster if top high through the years? I've only heard abt the last bit lately. Thx

How are you testing the water?
Post a full set of results. FC, CC, pH, TA, CH, CYA. If a salt pool, report Salt.

If your CYA is high (>60), you should lower your CYA level to 30-60 before you slam.
