Heater Size

I'm was looking for thoughts regarding heater size. My heater needs to replaced, I use the heater for the attached spa only and not the entire pool.
Does it make sense to get a smaller size heater versus a higher btu heater? Thank you

It is purely a question of purchase cost versus time to heat the spa.

The running cost is pretty much the same to heat a spa with a small or large heater.

So if saving a few bucks is worth the wait for the spa to heat for the next few years then get a smaller heater.
