Heater igniter voltage

My pool heater will not light. I see that the hot surface igniter is plugged into the slot for 110, but I think my equipment is all running on 220. Should it be plugged in on the 220 slot from the control board?

Pull the ignitor out and check continuity across the wires. There should be no resistance.
My ignitor stopped working as well and find that the tip had melted and lost electrical continuity.

Could anything bad happen if it is under voltage? As in it is supposed to be 220, but is actually plugged into 110. Could I simply check input voltage?

I’m nervous because I disconnected it to check impedance and didn’t realize there was a 110 ABD 220v pin out.

Check the wiring diagram on the inside of the heater if there is one? Mine says it connects to 40V.

It looks like I need to replace the ignition control. A new hot surface igniter still never blows hot which indicates that the board may be faulty.

Or, how do I find a comparable part?
