Easy Touch upgrade with Screen Logic on a single body Spa here, heater control via fireman switch.
I run a daily Cleaner schedule and recently the heater has been coming on along with the filter pump during the Cleaner schedule. It didn't used to do that, and when I run the Cleaner feature manually the heater stays off. I've tried both On and Off for the Spa Manual Heat setting in the SL Config app, and don't see anywhere else where this can be controlled. Thanks for any help!

Is the heater coming on because the flow rate is higher? This would say the heater is not being controlled by the ET but is acting stand alone. Or the heater is set to be ON when in Pool Mode.

My understanding is that the fireman's switch that I'm using to control the heater won't come on unless the ET tells it to. I could be wrong. I've tried the heater both set ON and OFF and it (now) comes on either way.

That is correct about the Firemans Switch. But it is not acting like it is working. I would disconnect the wires of the Firemans switch and see what happens.

I disconnected the fireman switch wires to the heater and it does not come on, so it's working. I also confirmed that ET is closing the fireman switch (0 ohms across the PCB terminals) and the heater light on the panel is lit.
Based on the SL manual description below, I'm going to set the manual heat back to ON:
"Enable “Spa Manual Heat” control - Heats the spa using the Spa button on the ScreenLogic2® InterfaceMain screen or the spa-side control, even when the heater is set to OFF in the Heat screen. This lets thehomeowner heat the spa on-demand. Timed programs will not heat the spa."
I may have found the problem, though. When I accessed the ET panel to disconnect the heater, I noticed that the Filter and Heater lights were both on even though neither was running. I pushed the Filter button which also turned off the Heater light. Now it seems to work normally. Not sure what made them come on, but apparently the panel was overriding the SL settings. Will keep an eye on it.
