Heater causing water to turn cloudy

About 2 days ago the attached spa began to cloud up when I turned on the spa with the heater (pentair 400k).
When I turn the heater off the water clears up in a few minutes. As soon as its turned on again it again clouds the water.

My current levels:
FC 5.5
pH 7.4
TA 90
CH 370
CYA 70
Salt 3400

Found This thread but it offered no resolution.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

That's odd. It must be entrained air as it clears up quickly.

Is the Booster pump for the spa or a cleaner?

The booster pump is only for the jets. The main pump is combined with the pool but in spa mode it is only retuned to spa (although it does run through the filter).

If I turn the pump off it will actually stay cloudy. Seems the filter is doing a good job clearing it out.

No. SWG is off in the spa.

I Called pentair and the person I spoke with seems to think its defenitely a chemical that is turning cloudy when heated up. My numbers are all in the target range so I'm really not sure. I was instructed to lower my FC to 1.5 saying 5.5 was way to high.

Deb,

It sounds like air to me and not chemicals...

Is this a new system or was it working fine and now all of a sudden, it is working differently?

Thanks,

Jim R.
Sorry it took so long to reply here...

The system is about a year old and was used numerous times without issue.

Oddly enough it just stopped getting cloudy after about 7 days on it's own. Not sure what that was but I'm happy it's not clouding up again.

Appreciate your help!
