Just as the title says...after extensive searching I can't really find a definitive answer to this question, though I think I know but just want to be certain first.
So I just discovered that my older model Rheem 5350ti-e heat pump only heats to 85 in pool mode. In spa mode it goes to 104 degrees. We would like to keep the pool about 88 during the winter months. We do not have a spa and the plumbing is all straight to and from the pool with no spa valves.
Any harm in setting it to spa mode and running it at 88?
Thanks
JD
